WOMEN WANT TO LEARN TO FLY TOO

Flying - - INBOX - Linda Matson via email

'The editor's letter in the November issue ["Do Millennials Want to Learn to Fly?"] led to a very' 'spirited discussion in our household regarding' millennials. I agree with Stephen Pope's assessment of changes the aviation community wilt peed to make to attract student pilots from the millennial and younger generations. However,' would suggest one additional change is paramount. More than half of the target audience is female and/or minority. Until the dinosaurs who so thickly populate aviation die off, womer and many others will not feel welcome at (most) local airports. We have only landed at one where it was assumed it was my airplane' Ind not that the owner or my husband must be some place nearby.'
