Like her diverse roles, the actress is just as comfortable in a pair of kicks as designer stilettos.
Eva Longoria talks acting highlights, makeup musts and selling fashion with HSN.
Actress, entrepreneur and activist Eva Longoria is adding to her list of screen credits. This time, she’s promoting an eponymous apparel collection on HSN. Longoria, who’s been sewing since she was 7, explained, “I’m obsessed with the construction of a garment, from seams to fabrics, all the way to marketing. I’m involved in every aspect. It’s very natural and organic.” Longoria also appreciates the work of other designers, among them Victoria Beckham, whose gowns she has worn on the red carpet, paired with shoe styles by Brian Atwood, Gianvito Rossi, Pedro Garcia, Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo and Manolo Blahnik. “For casualwear, I love Vince. And James Perse has some great casual shoes,” she said. “I also love Vans. They’re like an elevated sneaker that’s a little more fashion-forward. And I wear a lot of Adidas and Nike. In just black shoes alone, I have 50 pairs.” Summing up her style as classic-comfort, Longoria said, “I love dressing up and being able to be many things. Women can be more than one thing at one time. We can wear different hats and different outfits — that’s my style. I’m totally at the mercy of what I’m doing and where I’m going.”
