Shoe drops are usually limited to the sneaker world, but Manolo Blahnik is proving that kitten heels can also be buzzworthy. The designer’s new Maysaleba, a ginghamprinted mule, will be part of the second thedropLA@barneys, Barneys New York’s immersive in-store experience, which will host more than 20 exclusive capsule collections at its Beverly Hills, Calif., flagship June 2 and 3. The shoe — which joins brands like Fear of God, Heron Preston and Birkenstock, plus new Barneys shoe collabs with Jordyn Woods and Justine Skye — is limited to 350 pairs in three colorways (red, blue and black) and has a jeweled ornament inspired by Blahnik’s original Maysale mule, which walked the Isaac Mizrahi runway in 1991.
