nat Turner has a new weapon against cancer: better software for doctors.
His flatiron Health, based in new York City, sells software made specifically for oncologists and designed after years of analyzing the type of data that doctors use. it will track costs, record medical information and provide a database for physicians to find possible candidates for new trials.
over 2,500 clinicians use flatiron today, and the startup has raised over $300 million from investors, including GV (formerly known as Google Ventures) and pharmaceutical giant roche, which also agreed to use flatiron software in clinical trials.
