35. Eric Schmidt
Alphabet chairman Schmidt represented the search giant at 2 meetings between tech leaders and President Trump, at Trump Tower in December 2016 and then at the White House in June. Before Trump won the election, Schmidt helped advise on Hillary Clinton’s campaign technology. Schmidt left Sun Microsystems to become CEO of Google in 2001, 3 years before it went public. He has served as chairman of Google (now Alphabet) since 2011.
