The broth­ers’ for­tunes keep grow­ing fat­ter thanks to Chick-fil-a’s in­dus­try-best per-store sales—ac­com­plished de­spite a stub­born com­mit­ment to re­main­ing closed on Sun­days. Dan (chair­man and CEO) spends much of his time trav­el­ing the coun­try, vis­it­ing stores and at­tend­ing grand open­ings. Bubba (ex­ec­u­tive vice pres­i­dent) runs the com­pany’s Ge­or­gia-based Truett’s Grill restau­rants. Their fa­ther, Truett Cathy (d. 2014), opened his first fried chicken shack in 1967. To­day the nearly $8 billion (sales) busi­ness has more than 2,200 com­pany-owned and fran­chised lo­ca­tions through­out the U.S.
