He was hired for the sum­mer and part­time while he was at Stan­ford. The eco­nom­ics and com­puter-science ma­jor spent his ju­nior year in Florence study­ing Re­nais­sance his­tory and art. He went on to be­come one of Sil­i­con Val­ley’s top ven­ture cap­i­tal­ists, run­ning Ac­cel Part­ners for 2 decades. Breyer’s track record counts in­vest­ments in more than 40 com­pa­nies, in­clud­ing Face­book, that have com­pleted suc­cess­ful IPOS or merg­ers. Now in­vest­ing on his own through Breyer Cap­i­tal, he is bet­ting big on ar­ti­fi­cial in­tel­li­gence.
