278. Richard Sands
Sands’ father, Marvin, founded a humble upstate New York wine business in 1945 at age 21. That operation has mushroomed into publicly traded behemoth Constellation Brands, which generates over $7 billion in annual revenue and has a market capitalization around $40 billion. The company, whose stock price has more than quintupled in the past 5 years, is run by Richard, who is chairman, and his brother Robert (No. 288), who is CEO.
