Mansueto stepped down in January after 3 decades as Morningstar’s CEO. He founded the financial-data provider in 1984 with $80,000 in savings. Mansueto and his wife, both University of Chicago graduates, donated $25 million to the school in 2008 to fund a glassdomed library and $35 million in 2016 for an institute to study urban innovation.
