• Ge­or­gia’s Stu­dent Schol­ar­ship Or­ga­ni­za­tions have di­verted nearly $170 mil­lion in tax­payer funds to pri­vate schools over the last four years.

• At least 115 pri­vate schools par­tic­i­pat­ing in Ge­or­gia’s tax-funded schol­ar­ship pro­gram have ex­plicit, se­vere anti-gay poli­cies or be­long to state and na­tional pri­vate school as­so­ci­a­tions that pro­mote anti-gay poli­cies and prac­tices among their mem­bers.

• Two of the seven or­ga­ni­za­tions that the State of Ge­or­gia au­tho­rizes by law to ac­credit pri­vate schools – and, thereby, al­low the schools and their stu­dents to be­come el­i­gi­ble for tax-funded sup­port – ad­vance anti-gay poli­cies among their mem­ber schools.

• The fol­low­ing com­pa­nies have been pub­licly iden­ti­fied as sup­port­ing SSOs that pro­vide tax­payer funds to anti-gay schools: BP, Home De­pot, CIBAVi­sion, Wal­greens, Waste Man­age­ment, and Newell/Rub­ber­maid.
