But the dif­fer­ence is the chef, Todd Gins­berg, whose evening menu in­cludes small plates, his par­tic­u­larly re­spected craft, and larger plates of cre­ative riffs on clas­sics: prune-stuffed gnoc­chi; crispy trout with faro salad and but­ter­nut­squash puree; his fa­mous dou­ble-stack burger; and roasted duck with turnips and rutabaga. Lunch is all clas­sics – pas­trami, corned beef, chopped liver, mat­zoh ball soup. Break­fast? Real bagels, pas­trami hash, schmears, latkes!
