When I came out al­most five years ago, I thought that would be the end of my con­fu­sion about my sex­u­al­ity. I be­lieved ev­ery­thing was cut and dry: ei­ther you were gay, les­bian, straight or bi­sex­ual. I fig­ured all I had to do was pick one and live hap­pily ever af­ter. I’ve re­al­ized that it isn’t so sim­ple. Within those five years, the LGBTQ com­mu­nity and how we iden­tify our­selves has changed im­mensely. That acro­nym is a minis­cule sam­ple of our di­ver­sity. It isn’t a mea­sure of be­ing at­tracted to men, women or both be­cause the way we look at gen­der is con­stantly evolv­ing and every­one is pret-
