The At­lanta Black Pride cel­e­bra­tion be­gan in 1996, and 22 years later, it’s still go­ing strong as one of the three largest black gay pride fes­ti­vals in the coun­try, and one of the largest (if not the largest) Black Pride Cel­e­bra­tion in the en­tire world. Up­wards of 100k guests are ex­pected to at­tend the ex­trav­a­ganza, which will run Aug. 29 to Sept. 4. This year prom­ises to be a blowout with an ex­cit­ing en­ter­tain­ment line-up that in­cludes Trina, Ta­mar Brax­ton, Ray J, Princess Love Nor­wood, and more. A por­tion of pro­ceeds from the week­end’s fes­tiv­i­ties will ben­e­fit home­less LGBTQ youth and those in­fected/af­fected with HIV/AIDS via The Vi­sion Com­mu­nity Foun­da­tion. 25+ Event 10pm–3am SATUR­DAY SEPTEM­BER 1 Opera At­lanta 3pm–8:30pm
