■ Noteworthy: The winner will advance to the PIAA playoffs where it will face the winner of Saturday’s District 3 championship game between York and Newport.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
■ Terry Orazzi, OL-DL,
Lakeland: Physical player who has emerged as a solid blocker in the running game and against the run for a defense that yields 160.3 yards rushing per game.
■ Frank Damiano, DE, Dunmore: Making valuable contributions to the defense, which is topranked in Class 2A, giving up 175.6 total yards per game.
■ Scouting Lakeland: Got back to basics against Riverside and ran for 267 yards with seniors Michael Lowry (104) and Eric Ferko (131) each gaining more than 100 yards. The defense has been outstanding since the Dunmore game with Rob Bomba leading the way in tackles and sacks (10) and Tarin Harding covering opponents’ top receiver.
■ Scouting Dunmore:
Kyle Lasher has emerged as one of the best and most physical runners in the LFC. He had 125 yards rushing the last time the two teams played and has more than 1,000 yards this season. The offensive line dominates and is led by Michael Muracco and Jerry Longo. Dunmore’s defense is overpowering as linebacker Nicholas Lawler leads the team with more than 70 tackles.
