Stevie’s life seems safe and full of love

until the day tragedy strikes, and she is sent to live with her estranged grandfather at his rundown motel. Stevie charms the motel’s tenants by planting a garden, but it will take more than seeds and soil to make Stevie’s grandfather realize just how strongly she has taken root at the motel—and in his heart.
