Theft … A cab driver called po­lice at 5:55 a.m. July 30 and re­ported that an in­tox­i­cated cus­tomer who was taken to the 500 block of Ry­er­sAv­enue re­fused to pay the $15 cab fare, po­lice said.

Bur­glary … A school ad­min­is­tra­tion build­ing in the 2000 block ofAsh­bourne Road, Elkins Park, was bur­glar­ized be­tween 6 p.m. July 27 and 5:55 a.m. July 30, po­lice said. En­try was made through un­locked win­dows and locked clos­ets were forced open, with an un­de­ter­mined amount of tools stolen, po­lice said.

Auto re­cov­ered … A ve­hi­cle stolen out of Philadel­phia was re­cov­ered at 12:43 p.m. July 30 in the 1800 block of Gra­ham Lane, po­lice said.

Van­dal­ism … The tires on a ve­hi­cle parked in the 2000 block of Mather Way, Lyn­newood Gar­dens, were slashed be­tween 2 p.m. July 30 and 5:20 a.m. July 31, po­lice said.

Van­dal­ism … The mail­box at a home in the 100 block of Marvin Road was dam­aged be­tween 10:15 and 10:30 p.m. July 31, po­lice said.

Graf­fiti … Graf­fiti was found painted on the rear wall of Ross Dress for Less, 3001 W. Chel­tenham Ave., around 2:10 p.m. July 31, po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … A white male in his 20s, 5 feet 10 inches tall, 175 pounds, wear­ing ragged blue bas­ket­ball shorts and an orange shirt took 10 power fit­ting wash­ers, val­ued at a to­tal of $100, from Home De­pot, 2385 W. Chel­tenham Ave., around 2:25 p.m. July 31, po­lice said.

Theft … A wall safe was forced at a home in the 7900 block of Hid­den Lane, be­tween 8 a.m. July 30 and 6 p.m. July 31 and $2,000 was taken from it, po­lice said. The home did not show any signs of forced en­try, po­lice said.

Crim­i­nal mis­chief … Park­ing me­ters on Glen­side Av­enue and Bick­ley Road were found van­dal­ized at 10:50 a.m. Aug. 1, po­lice said.

Bike theft … A red, Trek 700 hy­brid bike with a splash guard on the rear wheel, a bike com­puter and two light as­sem­blies was re­ported stolen Aug. 1 from a home in the 2000 block of Mather Way, po­lice said.

Theft … A res­i­dent of Elkins Park House, 7900 Old York Road, re­ported Aug. 1 that a dog the vic­tim had adopted was taken by the seller and not re­turned, po­lice said.

ID theft … Ares­i­dent re­ported

Aug. 1 that an un­known per­son madeadeb­it­card­with­drawal­fromthe vic­tim’scheckingac­count,po­lice­said.

Bike stolen … A 26-inch Yukon uL, sil­ver and blue bike val­ued at $600 was re­ported stolen from the porch of a home in the 400 block of Cottman Av­enue at 10:17 a.m.Aug. 2, po­lice said.

Fraud … A res­i­dent re­ported Aug. 1 af­ter re­ceiv­ing a sus­pi­cious $2,880 check for babysit­ting ser­vices, the vic­tim re­turned the money and then found out the check was fraud­u­lent, po­lice said.

Crim­i­nal mis­chief … Atree in the front yard of a home in the 300 block of Wind­ing Way, Glen­side, was found sprayed with paint at 7:24 p.m.Aug. 2, po­lice said.

Van­dal­ism … An ob­ject was thrown through the wind­shield of a ve­hi­cle parked at the Tow­ers at Wyn­cote, 8480 Limekiln Pike, Aug. 2, po­lice said.

Van­dal­ism … The mail­boxes at four homes in the 8000 block of Jenk­in­town Road were dam­aged be­tween 7 p.m. Aug. 2 and 7 a.m. Aug. 3, po­lice said.

Theft … Mul­ti­ple tools were dis­cov­ered miss­ing from a truck parked at a busi­ness in the 500 block of Stahr Road­Aug. 3, po­lice said. The truck had been parked at the lo­ca­tion for six months and was locked, po­lice said.

As­sault … Gil­bert Back­ers, 62, of the 8400 block of Fayette Street, Philadel­phia, was charged with sim­ple as­sault, reck­lessly en­dan­ger­ing an­other per­son and harass­ment Aug. 3 fol­low­ing a do­mes­tic in­ci­dent at Cedar­brook Plaza around 12:50 p.m., po­lice said. Back­ers was al­legedly chok­ing his wife un­til wit­nesses stopped him, po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … David Scott, 35, of the 7000 block of Cedar Park Av­enue, Philadel­phia, was charged with re­tail theft Aug. 3 af­ter tak­ing $530.99 worth of goods from Home De­pot, 2385W. Chel­tenhamAve., at 2 p.m., po­lice said.

Theft … Thirty rental fold­ing chairs were re­ported stolen at 4:36 p.m. Aug. 3 from a home in the 7600 block of Massey Way, Elkins Park, po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … Nor­man Parker, 54, of Bal­ti­more Av­enue, Phila- del­phia, was charged with re­tail theft Aug. 3 af­ter tak­ing $383.18 in goods from Home De­pot, 2385 W. Chel­tenhamAve., po­lice said.

Van­dal­ism … The owner of a prop­erty in the 500 block of Jef­fer­son Av­enue re­ported at 4:11 a.m. Aug. 4 that the home had been egged, po­lice said.

Van­dal­ism … A ve­hi­cle parked in the 2000 block of North John Rus­sell Circle was found scratched on both sides at 4:34 p.m.Aug. 4, po­lice said.

Ar­rest … Michael Smith, 42, of Fitch Road, Hat­boro, was ar­rested at 5:04 p.m. Aug. 4 at Holy Sepul­chre Ceme­tery, 3301 Chel­tenham Ave., and charged with re­sist­ing ar­rest and pos­sess­ing pack­ages of sus­pected nar­cotics and para­pher­na­lia, po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … Nathaniel Ri­ley, 58, of North Uber Street, Philadel­phia, was cited for re­tail theft af­ter tak­ing $119 in goods at 5:14 p.m. Aug. 4 at Sho­pRite, 2385 W. Chel­tenhamAve., po­lice said.

War­rant … Ny­keem Pon­der, 25, of un­known ad­dress, was taken into cus­tody at 8:50 p.m. Aug. 5 on an out­stand­ing Philadel­phia war­rant at Chel­tenham and 78th av­enues and trans­ferred to Philadel­phia po­lice, po­lice said.

DUI … A war­rant has been is­sued forAn­drew Shoma, 28, of the 200 block of Run­ner Street, Jenk­in­town, charg­ing him with driv­ing un­der the influence in con­nec­tion with a traf­fic stop at 8:38 a.m. March 23 at Wash­ing­ton Lane and Church Road, po­lice said.

DUI … Con­nie Mestre, 25, of the 1100 block of Dorset Street, Philadel­phia, has been charged with driv­ing un­der the influence fol­low­ing an ac­ci­dent at 2:51 a.m. April 14, po­lice said. Mestre had a BAC of 0.22 per­cent, po­lice said.

DUI … Donna Cotch­etovsky, 53, of the 2500 block of Old Bethlehem Pike, Sellersville, was charged with driv­ing un­der the influence June 24 fol­low­ing a traf­fic stop around 9 p.m. at Shop­pers and Wash­ing­ton lanes, po­lice said.
