DUI … Larissa D. Gib­son, 28, of South kapa Street, Philadel­phia, was charged with driv­ing un­der the influence of al­co­hol and a con­trolled sub­stance June 30 af­ter po­lice ob­served a ve­hi­cle swerv­ing over the white dot­ted lines on the road­way, al­most strik­ing the curb while driv­ing with her left turn sig­nal on the en­tire time at 12:30 p.m., po­lice said.

Po­lice stopped her ve­hi­cle on the 100 block of Old York Road and de­tected the odor of al­co­hol com­ing from her breath and de­tected the odor of marijuana com­ing from the ve­hi­cle, po­lice said. Gib­son ad­mit­ted to drink­ing ear­lier in the evening, po­lice said.

She failed field so­bri­ety tests and was trans­ported to Holy Redeemer Hospi­tal for fur­ther test­ing, po­lice said. Lab re­sults showed that Gib­son’s BAC was 0.129 per­cent and that she had marijuana in her sys­tem, po­lice said.

Pos­ses­sion … ki­cholas J. Conti, 22, of An­thony Road, Elkins Park, was charged with pos­ses­sion of marijuana July 7 af­ter his ve­hi­cle was stopped at a DUI check­point on the 700 block of Hunt­ing­don Pike at 12:25 a.m., po­lice said. Po­lice de­tected the odor of marijuana com­ing from the ve­hi­cle and af­ter search­ing the ve­hi­cle, con­fis­cated two small bags of marijuana, po­lice said.

DUI … An­gela Dipalo, 22, of Round Meadow Lane, Hat­boro, was charged with driv­ing un­der the influence of al­co­hol, fail­ure to drive within a lane and care­less driv­ing July 12 af­ter po­lice ob­served a ve­hi­cle swerve over the dou­ble yel­low lines on the road­way, re­main stalled at a green light for a sev­eral sec­onds and ob­served a ve­hi­cle make an abrupt turn onto Hunt­ing­don Pike and Harper Lane at 12:23 a.m., po­lice said.

Po­lice stopped the ve­hi­cle and de­tected the strong odor of al­co­hol com­ing from her breath and ob­served that Dipalo had slurred speech, po­lice said. She failed field so­bri­ety tests and was trans­ported to Holy Redeemer Hospi­tal for fur­ther test­ing, po­lice said. Lab re­sults showed her BAC was 0.177 per­cent, po­lice said.

DUI … Joseph Har­ri­gan, 35, of Mo­hawk Drive, Rich­boro, was charged with driv­ing un­der the influence of al­co­hol and a con­trolled sub­stance, fail­ure to drive on the right side of the road­way, fail­ure to drive within a lane and care­less driv­ing July 13 af­ter po­lice ob­served a ve­hi­cle with a dam­aged bumper, head­light and wheel, cross over dou­ble yel­low lines on the road­way at 7:43 p.m., po­lice said.

Po­lice stopped the ve­hi­cle at Rose­more Av­enue in Glen­side and de­tected al­co­hol com­ing from Har­ri­gan’s breath, po­lice said. He also had glassy eyes and slurred speech, po­lice said. He failed field so­bri­ety tests and PBT tests showed he had al­co­hol in his sys­tem, po­lice said. Har­ri­gan was trans­ported to Holy Redeemer Hospi­tal for fur­ther test­ing, po­lice said. Lab re­sults showed his BAC was 0.139 per­cent, po­lice said.

Bur­glary … A war­rant was is­sued for the ar­rest of Patricia Higgins, 27, of Sum­mit Av­enue, Jenk­in­town, for bur­glary, crim­i­nal tres­pass, theft by de­cep­tion, un­law­ful tak­ing or dis­po­si­tion and re­ceiv­ing stolen prop­erty July 29 af­ter the man­ager of Jerzee’s Bar, lo­cated on the 2600 block of Mount Carmel Av­enue, ob­served, in a sur­veil­lance video, Higgins, a for­mer em­ployee, come to the bar at 5:40 a.m. and al­legedly steal A500 out of a safe af­ter she was let into the es­tab­lish­ment by the cus­to­dian, po­lice said.

Sim­ple as­sault … Joseph H. ka­glee, 21, of Tyson Av­enue, Glen­side, was charged with sim­ple as­sault, dis­or­derly con­duct and crim­i­nal tres­pass Aug. 1 af­ter a vic­tim re­ported that ka­glee shoved him into a tele­vi­sion leav­ing a large bruise on his back dur­ing a al­ter­ca­tion in the 100 block of TysonAv­enue at 7 p.m., po­lice said. Po­lice es­corted ka­glee from the premises and ka­glee was told not to re­turn to the res­i­dence, po­lice said. Min­utes later po­lice were dis­patched to an­other res­i­dence on the 100 block of Tyson Av­enue con­cern­ing ka­glee, po­lice said. ka­glee was taken into cus­tody, po­lice said.

Pos­ses­sion … Ja­cob M. Sosi­nav­age, 22, of Vista Street, Philadel­phia, was charged with pos­ses­sion of drug para­pher­na­lia and pos­ses­sion of a small amount of marijuana Aug. 2 af­ter po­lice ob­served Sosi­nav­age stum­bling down the 800 block of Eas­ton Road at 10 p.m., po­lice said. Po­lice stopped him in the area of Eas­ton and Mount Ver­non roads and con­fis­cated a marijuana pipe and a small bag of marijuana from his per­son, po­lice said. Au­thor­i­ties took him into cus­tody, po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … Su­san A. Bigiulio, 62, of More­land Road, Hunt­ing­don Val­ley, was charged with re­tail theft and pos­ses­sion and re­ceiv­ing stolen prop­erty Aug. 5 af­ter a se­cu­rity guard ob­served her se­lect mer­chan­dise and con­ceal it in the bag she was car­ry­ing, se­lect more mer­chan­dise open it and empty the con­tents in her bag and se­lect other mer­chan­dise and put it in a cart, pay for it and at­tempt to leave the store at 4:45 p.m. at the Gi­ant Foods store in the 700 block of Hunt­ing­don Pike, po­lice said. The guard stopped her and at­tempted to con­fis­cate her bag, but was un­suc­cess­ful, po­lice said. Bigiulio was taken into cus­tody by po­lice and the A314 worth of mer­chan­dise was re­cov­ered, po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … Ash­ley G. Kim, 19, of Twin­ning Road, Wil­low Grove, was charged with re­tail theft and pos­ses­sion, pos­sess­ing an in­stru­ment of crime and re­ceiv­ing stolen prop­erty Aug. 6 af­ter a se­cu­rity of­fi­cer ob­served her se­lect and con­ceal mer­chan­dise and leave the store with­out pay­ing at 3 p.m. at the Macy’s in the Wil­low Grove Park mall, po­lice said. Kim was stopped by the se­cu­rity of­fi­cer and the mer­chan­dise, val­ued at A314, was re­cov­ered, po­lice said. Po­lice learned the mer­chan­dise had se­cu­rity sen­sors on them, but Kim had used a magnetic, metal senor re­mover to re­move the sen­sors prior to tak­ing the mer­chan­dise, po­lice said. Kim was trans­ported to the Abing­ton Po­lice Depart­ment for pro­cess­ing, po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … Ilona Kre­dens, 23, of Solly Av­enue, Philadel­phia, was charged with re­tail theft and pos­ses­sion and re­ceiv­ing stolen prop­erty Aug. 6 af­ter a se­cu­rity guard ob­served her se­lect items, go into a fit­ting room and exit with­out any items at 7:28 p.m. at the Macy’s in the Wil­low Grove Park mall, po­lice said. The guard stopped her and con­fis­cated A200.48 worth of mer­chan­dise that Kre­dens took, po­lice said.

DUI … Dou­glas Mur­phy, 48, Can­dle­wood Moun­tain Road, kew Mil­ford, Conn., was charged with driv­ing un­der the influence of al­co­hol, fail­ure to drive within a lane, care­less driv­ing and reck­less driv­ing Aug. 8 af­ter po­lice re­sponded to a reck­less driv­ing re­port at The Pavilion in the 200 block of Old York Road in Jenk­in­town at 9:55 p.m., po­lice said. A vic­tim ac­cused Mur­phy of swerv­ing, al­most strik­ing her ve­hi­cle twice af­ter she at­tempted to pass him on the road­way, po­lice said. The of­fi­cer de­tected al­co­hol on Mur­phy’s breath, po­lice said. Mur­phy failed field so­bri­ety tests and was trans­ported to Holy Redeemer Hospi­tal for fur­ther test­ing, but he re­fused blood tests, po­lice said.

Theft … Melissa A. Shan­non, 33, of Mount Carmel Av­enue, was charged with theft from a mo­tor ve­hi­cle and crim­i­nal at­tempt Aug. 9 af­ter a wit­ness ob­served Shan­non pulling on car door han­dles while she was walk­ing her dog on the 2200 block of Mount Carmel Av­enue at 10:15 p.m., po­lice said. The wit­ness ob­served her en­ter a ve­hi­cle and ob­served her go­ing through the cen­ter con­sole of the ve­hi­cle, po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … Falon A. For­tune, 29, of korth 7th Street, Philadel­phia, was charged with re­tail theft and pos­ses­sion and re­ceiv­ing stolen prop­erty Aug. 9 af­ter a se­cu­rity guard ob­served her se­lect mer­chan­dise, con­ceal it in a bag and leave the store with­out pay­ing at the Kmart on More­land Road at 1:23 p.m., po­lice said. The guard stopped her and re­cov­ered the A32.92 worth of mer­chan­dise that For­tune had taken, po­lice said. Po­lice learned that For­tune had been con­victed of re­tail theft on a pre­vi­ous oc­ca­sion, po­lice said.

In­di­rect crim­i­nal con­tempt … Corey T. Wil­liams, 27, of korth 13th Street, Philadel­phia, was charged with in­di­rect crim­i­nal con­tempt Aug. 16 af­ter the ve­hi­cle he was a pas­sen­ger in was stopped on Ru­bi­cam and kew­port av­enues at 12:19 a.m. for an equip­ment vi­o­la­tion, po­lice said. The driver of the ve­hi­cle, wakia Turner, 21, of Lamott Av­enue, Wil­low Grove, had a ac­tive pro­tec­tion or­der against Wil­liams, which he was in vi­o­la­tion of by be­ing in the ve­hi­cle with Turner, po­lice said. Turner was is­sued a non-traf­fic ci­ta­tion af­ter po­lice ob­served drug para­pher­na­lia in the ve­hi­cle, po­lice said.

Pos­ses­sion … Frances Dea­con, 30, of Maple Street, Warmin­ster, was charged with pos­ses­sion of drug para­pher­na­lia Aug. 13 af­ter po­lice were called to the La-w-Boy fur­ni­ture store in the 1700 block of Old York Road at 7:21 p.m. for a re­port of a male and fe­male ar­gu­ing, po­lice said. Po­lice ar­rived and con­ducted a rou­tine war­rant check and dis­cov­ered that Dea­con had an ac­tive war­rant in Up­per More­land Town­ship for a DUI, po­lice said. Po­lice searched her bag and con­fis­cated a glass pipe that con­tained burnt marijuana residue on it, po­lice said. Dea­con was taken into cus­tody, po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … Lamont Walthour, 45, korth 20th Street, Philadel­phia, was charged with re­tail theft and re­ceiv­ing stolen prop­erty Aug. 11 af­ter a se­cu­rity guard ob­served him loi­ter­ing in the cloth­ing sec­tion at the Kmart on More­land Road, po­lice said.

The guard ob­served him se­lect sev­eral items and con­ceal them in his back­pack and at­tempted to leave the store with­out pay­ing, po­lice said. The guard stopped Walthour and he ad­mit­ted to tak­ing the items, po­lice said. The guard con­fis­cated A134.89 worth of mer­chan­dise from Walthour and he was taken into cus­tody by au­thor­i­ties, po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … wachary Panebianco, 20, of Knock k Knoll Circle, Wil­low Grove; and Stephane Bernard, 23, of South 59th Street, Philadel­phia, were charged with re­tail theft Aug. 12 af­ter a se­cu­rity guard ob­served them se­lect A77 worth of mer­chan­dise, con­ceal it and leave the store with­out pay­ing at the Kmart in the Wil­low Grove Park mall at 4:42 p.m., po­lice said.

Dis­or­derly con­duct … nu­en­ton Cain, 22, Arnold Av­enue, Roslyn, was charged with dis­or­derly con­duct Aug. 14 af­ter po­lice ob­served an oc­cu­pied ve­hi­cle parked at Crest­mont Park lo­cated on the 2500 block of Old Welsh Road in Wil­low Grove at 9:23 p.m., po­lice said. Au­thor­i­ties con­fis­cated a small amount of marijuana from the ve­hi­cle, po­lice said.

Dis­or­derly con­duct … Kevin Kelly, 23, of Cottman Av­enue, Philadel­phia, was charged with dis­or­derly con­duct Aug. 23 af­ter po­lice stopped a ve­hi­cle in the 800 block of Old York Road at 5:25 p.m., po­lice said. Au­thor­i­ties con­fis­cated a small amount of marijuana from the ve­hi­cle, po­lice said. a.m.Aug. 20 at a home in the 800 block of Gil­bert Road found the rear door open and door frame bro­ken, po­lice said. A wit­ness re­ported see­ing a light-col­ored, late model Lin­coln Con­ti­nen­tal backed into the drive­way, with a man be­hind the wheel, about 25 min­utes prior to the alarm, po­lice said.

Theft … ID, credit cards and A190 cash were stolen from a work truck parked at the Ash­bourne Coun­try Club, 1005 Ash­bourne Road, around 1:30 p.m.Aug. 20, po­lice said.Ablack male, 35 to 40 with dark com­plex­ion, beard, 5 feet 9 inches, 150 pounds, wear­ing a white T-shirt, dark work pants and tan boots was seen rum­mag­ing through the truck, po­lice said.

Fraud … A res­i­dent re­ported Aug. 21 that an un­known per­son fraud­u­lently charged A1,422.80 worth of items to the vic­tim’s debit card in Florida and Santo Domingo, po­lice said.

Bike stolen … A blue and black boys BMu bike was stolen from the 7400 block of Bar­clay Road around 4:55 p.m. Aug. 21 by two black males, age 16 to 17, 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches, one wear­ing a dark shirt and the other with shoul­der length braided hair, wear­ing a white shirt and blue shorts, po­lice said.

As­sault … Three ju­ve­niles were shot at by three masked males with shot­gun style air soft guns from a wooded area to the rear of a home in the 600 block of Fox­croft Road, Elkins Park, be­tween 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Aug. 21, po­lice said. The three were de­scribed as age 14 to 16, one 5 feet 10 inches tall and the other two 5 feet 4 inches tall, all wear­ing ski masks, po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … A black male, early 20s, 6 feet 1 inch to 6 feet 2 inches tall, with short black hair and a thin red or yel­low goa­tee, at­tempted to take an item with­out pay­ing at Wal­mart, 1000 S. Eas­ton Road, around 1:15 p.m. Aug. 22, po­lice said. Af­ter push­ing past store em­ploy­ees, the male fled on foot south on Mount AiryAv­enue, po­lice said.

ID theft … Ares­i­dent re­ported Aug. 22 that an un­known per­son stole her iden­tity and has re­ceived her So­cial Se­cu­rity check, po­lice said.

Ar­son … Three males were ob­served run­ning from the area of a trash fire that had spread to a parked ve­hi­cle in the 300 block of Franklin Av­enue around 3:50 a.m. Aug. 23, po­lice said.

Theft … A ve­hi­cle parked in the unit block of Johns Road was en­tered be­tween 5 p.m. Aug. 22 and 6:40 a.m. Aug. 23 and a coin purse and tan and red can­vas bag were taken, po­lice said.

Van­dal­ism … The pas­sen­ger side win­dow of a ve­hi­cle parked in the 100 block of Wind­sor Av­enue, Elkins Park, was bro­ken be­tween 8 p.m. Aug. 22 and 9 a.m. Aug. 23, but en­try to the ve­hi­cle was not made, po­lice said.

War­rants … Joseph Ho­phan, 20, of the 2200 block of Mount Carmel Av­enue, Glen­side; and An­dre Bat­tle, 19, of the 2400 block of 76th Av­enue, Philadel­phia, were taken into cus­tody at 3 p.m. Aug. 23 on out­stand­ing war­rants af­ter they ap­peared in dis­trict court for a hear­ing, po­lice said.

Theft … A Kin­dle e-reader and orange leather purse con­tain­ing A40, a driver’s li­cense and debit card, was re­ported stolen at 3:52 p.m. Aug. 23 from an un­locked ve­hi­cle parked at Cur­tis Dog Park, 1250 W. Church Road, po­lice said.

Theft … About A100 cash was re­ported stolen at 5:32 p.m. Aug. 23 from a purse inside a se­cu­rity man­ager’s of­fice at the Chel­tenham Square Mall, 2385 W. Chel­tenhamAve., po­lice said.

As­sault … James Vaughn, 29, of the 1900 block of Humphrey Merry Way, was ar­rested around 7:30 p.m. Aug. 23 af­ter he al­legedly as­saulted his girl­friend, po­lice said. Vaughn was charged with ag­gra­vated as­sault, sim­ple as­sault, reck­lessly en­dan­ger­ing an­other per­son, dis­or­derly con­duct, crim­i­nal mis­chief and re­sist­ing ar­rest and was ar­raigned be­fore Dis­trict Judge Christo­pher Cer­ski, who set bail at A99,000 cash, ac­cord­ing to a court doc­u­ment. He was taken to Mont­gomery County Prison to await a pre­lim­i­nary hear­ing.

Theft … The driver’s side rear win­dow of a ve­hi­cle parked at Bally To­tal Fit­ness, 1000 S. Eas­ton Road, was found bro­ken out at 8:09 p.m. Aug. 23 and a large gold, foil type shoul­der bag con­tain­ing A100, credit cards, a check­book, So­cial Se­cu­rity card and driver’s li­cense was taken, po­lice said.

Theft … Two Dell lap­tops were re­ported stolen at 7:38 a.m. Aug. 24 from a locked con­struc­tion trailer in the 100 block of Ash­mead Road, po­lice said.

As­sault … A male dog owner re­ported be­ing as­saulted by an­other male dog owner, known only as Os­car, at the Cur­tis Dog Park, 20 Cur­tis Park Drive, at 9:47 a.m.Aug. 24, po­lice said.

Theft … A land­scape trailer with equip­ment in­clud­ing a rid­ing mower, two push mow­ers, six chain­saws and two back­pack type leaf blow­ers was re­ported stolen at 12:57 p.m. Aug. 24 from the 7300 block of Sharp­less Road, po­lice said.

As­sault … A woman re­ported at 1:45 p.m.Aug. 24 that her boyfriend threw a lamp at her and choked her at a res­i­dence in the 500 block of Church Road, po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … Jef­frey Bon­ner, 45, of the 1700 block of Ju­ni­ata Street, Philadel­phia, was charged with re­tail theft at 3:57 p.m. Aug. 24 af­ter tak­ing A332.50 in goods from Wal­mart, 1000 S. Eas­ton Road, po­lice said.

Bur­glary … A com­puter, cam­era, game sys­tems, games and sneak­ers were taken dur­ing a bur­glary of a res­i­dence in the 1900 block of Humphrey Merry Way, re­ported at 10:45 p.m. Aug. 24, po­lice said. En­try was made through a first-floor win­dow, po­lice said.

Theft … A lap­top and pre­scrip­tion drugs were re­ported taken at 1:05 p.m. Aug. 25 from an un­locked ve­hi­cle in the 700 block of Val­ley Road, po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … A black male, age 30 to 35, medium build, wear­ing a white T-shirt and white base­ball hat, filled a cart and at­tempted to leave the Save-A-Lot, 101 W. Chel­tenhamAve., around 1:35 p.m. Aug. 26, po­lice said. The mer­chan­dise was re­cov­ered and the man fled in a blue kis­san, po­lice said.
