aorothy clorence (nee tarrF put­ton, 9R, passed away af­ter a brief ill­ness on Aug. 2S, 2012, in Abing­ton. Born ceb. 2, 191T, in pun­bury, ma., she was the beloved wife of til­fred m. put­ton, de­ceased, and a res­i­dent of dwynedd bstates, Ambler, ma.

The daugh­ter of the late gohn R. tarr and aorothy C. tarr of Abing­ton, aorothy grad­u­ated from Abing­ton eigh pchool and re­ceived her Bach­e­lor of Arts from the menn­syl­va­nia ptate Col­lege in 1938. phe was em­ployed by Abing­ton eospi­tal, so­cial ser­vices, put­ton iand­scap- ing Com­pany, sub­sti­tute teacher for rp­per aublin pchool aistrict and was a l ong­time em­ployee of Ambler jed­i­cal As­so­ci­ates. phe also served on the board of put­ton Trad­ing Com­pany.

aorothy was very ac­tive in community af­fairs, through her church, pt. Alphon­sus of japle dlen, and many or­ga­ni­za­tions in­clud­ing the Colony Club of Ambler (past pres­i­dentF, aAR, nuesters, The eis­tor­i­cal poci­ety of cort tash­ing­ton and AArt. phe con­tin­ued to stay ac­tive while re­sid­ing at dwynedd bstates for t he last 1S years.

fn ad­di­tion to her beloved hus­band, aorothy was pre­de­ceased by her daugh­ter jartha Ann malme, and her grand­son Richard d. eartzell gr., as well as two sis­ters and their spouses, ar. auane d. and C. bleanor tarr Clarke and Ray and Anne bg­bert.

aorothy is sur­vived by a daugh­ter, jar­garet d. eartzell, and her hus­band, Richard, and by a son, gohn t., and his wife, hay; son-in l aw Robert malme; grand­chil­dren An­drew eartzell, Christina do­gel, Brian malme, Anne gones, pteven malme, g.t. put­ton, jatthew put­ton and kathan put­ton; and 13 great-grand­chil­dren.

There will be a jass of Chris­tian Burial cri­day, Aug. 31, 2012, at 11 a.m. at pt. Alphon­sus Ro­man Catholic Church, 33 Con­well arive, japle dlen, mA 19002. siew­ing at the church starts at 9W30.
