Rash of thefts re­ported in boro

A se­ries of ve­hi­cle breakins were re­ported in Jenk­in­town Sept. 17, ac­cord­ing to Jenk­in­town po­lice.

Vic­tims in the 200 block of Rod­man Av­enue re­ported their ve­hi­cles had been en­tered and rum­maged through be­tween 6 and 11:33 a.m., po­lice said. Au­thor­i­ties said that loose change, candy and sun­glasses val­ued at $400 were re­ported miss­ing from these ve­hi­cles, po­lice said.

Vic­tims in the 200 block of Run­nymede Av­enue also re­ported thefts from their ve­hi­cles be­tween 5:20 a.m. and 2:50 p.m., po­lice said. Money was re­ported miss­ing from these ve­hi­cles, po­lice said.

A cou­ple from the 400 block of Maple Av­enue re­ported their ve­hi­cles, which were parked in their drive­way, were rum­maged through and that a to­tal of $10 in change was taken from the ve­hi­cles, po­lice said.

Also, a cou­ple from the 400 block of Ver­non Road re­ported that their ve­hi­cles, which were also parked the drive­way, had been en­tered and that loose change, a por­ta­ble power in­verter, val­ued at $70, and dig­i­tal pro­jec­tor, val­ued at $500 were miss­ing, po­lice said.
