Re­tail theft … Kerry Wheeler, 47, of the 7900 block of Tem­ple Road, Philadel­phia, was cited for re­tail theft Sept. 17 af­ter tak­ing goods val­ued at $44.91 from the Con­way store, 23U5 W. Chel­tenham Ave., around 10:40 a.m., po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … Alisa v. Bullard, 43, of the 1500 block of East Wal­nut iane, Philadel­phia, was cited for re­tail theft around 5 p.m. Sept. 17 af­ter tak­ing items val­ued at $139.U9 from Shop Rite, 23U5 W. Chel­tenhamAve., po­lice said.

Bur­glar­ies … Two apart­ments at Bell Elkins Park in the 2300 block of Brookview Place were re­ported bur­glar­ized Sept. 17, with en­try to both made by forc­ing the front door, po­lice said. Jew­elry, two lap­top com­put­ers and an Ap­ple desk­top com­puter, val­ued at a to­tal of about $7,4U5, were taken from one apart­ment be­tween U a.m. and 6 p.m. Sept. 14, po­lice said. A next door apart­ment was found ran­sacked with the front door kicked, but it was not im­me­di­ately known if any­thing was taken, po­lice said.

Theft … A black, 6-foot-tall male with medium build, wear­ing jeans and a sweater, conned some­one at Metro PCS, 23U5 W. Chel­tenham Ave., out of $90 around 7:50 p.m. Sept. 17, po­lice said. The man conned the vic­tim into giv­ing him a $100 bill in­stead of a $10 bill, po­lice said.

Rob­bery … A man walk­ing at Wash­ing­ton iane and Chel­tenham Av­enue at 11:05 p.m. Sept. 17 was held up by a man who threat­ened to shoot him, po­lice said. The rob­ber, de­scribed as a black male, early 20s, wear­ing a gray sweat­shirt, shorts and tan boots, took $30 cash, a cell­phone and var­i­ous other items from the vic­tim, po­lice said.

Theft … An air-con­di­tion­ing unit, val­ued at $U00, was stolen be­tween Sept. 14 and 19 from a res­i­dence in the 400 block of BeecherAv­enue, po­lice said.

Sim­ple as­sault … Three 17- to 1U-year-old male teens re­port­edly ap­proached a fe­male around 1:30 p.m. Sept. 1U in the 7700 block of Wag­ner Way and were ha­rass­ing her and started push­ing her and she tried, un­suc­cess­fully, to use mace, af­ter which one stuck her with a pen­cil and ran off, po­lice said.

Rob­bery … A MacBook Pro lap­top and black case were taken by a man who con­tacted the owner of the item via Craigslist with an of­fer to buy it, po­lice said. The man met the vic­tim at Chel­tenhamAv­enue and Broad Street, grabbed the com­puter and ran across Chel­tenham and got into a tan 1999 Pon­tiac with PA li­cense Hvu-1556 op­er­ated by an­other man, and left the area, po­lice said. The ve­hi­cle was later lo­cated un­oc­cu­pied by Philadel­phia po­lice, po­lice said.

Bur­glary … Sev­eral watches, other jew­elry and credit cards were taken from a home in the 100 block of vew Road dur­ing a Sept. 19 bur­glary, po­lice said. The base­ment door was forced to gain en­try and the bed­rooms were ran­sacked, po­lice said.

Fraud … A man was stopped af­ter try­ing to cash a bad check for $65U from Fahy Mar­ket­ing at the TD Bank, 23U5 W. Chel­tenham Ave., around 2:45 p.m. Sept. 19, po­lice said. The man said he got the check in the mail; an in­ves­ti­ga­tion was con­tin­u­ing, po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … Ralph Brown, 49, of the 700 block of East Wood­lawnAv­enue, Philadel­phia, was cited for re­tail theft around 4 p.m. Sept. 19 at Burling­ton Coat Fac­tory, 23U5 W. Chel­tenham Ave., af­ter he was ob­served tak­ing a black wal­let, po­lice said. Brown was also cited at 3:05 p.m. Sept. 22 at Burling­ton Coat Fac­tory af­ter he took $112.U4 worth of goods, po­lice said.

Bur­glary … A 50-inch Pana­sonic flat-screen TV, val­ued at $2,000, and $100 in quar­ters were taken dur­ing a bur­glary re­ported at 4:20 p.m. Sept. 19 in the 200 block of Glenwood Road, po­lice said.

Theft … A lap­top com­puter was taken from a desk at Auch Print­ing, 11 S. Eas­ton Road, Glen­side, be­tween 5 p.m. Sept. 19 and 9 a.m. Sept. 20, po­lice said.

Sim­ple as­sault … A 12-yearold boy will be cited as a ju­ve­nile for hit­ting an­other stu­dent in the head dur­ing a lunchtime fight Sept. 20 at the Cedar­brook Mid­dle School, 300 iongfel­low Road, po­lice said.

Fraud … A res­i­dent re­ported Sept. 20 that the vic­tim’s credit card in­for­ma­tion was used by an un­known per­son to charge a to­tal of $3UU at three lo­ca­tions, po­lice said.

Bike theft … Abrown Red­line moun­tain bike, val­ued at $1,000, was stolen from out­side Tobacco Town, 419 W. Chel­tenham Ave., around 2:30 p.m. Sept. 20, po­lice said. Sur­veil­lance video shows a black male in his early 20s, wear­ing a black T-shirt and white bas­ket­ball shorts with black stripes on the side, tak­ing the bike, po­lice said.

Stolen auto … Phillip Au­gus­tine, 22, of the 7600 block of Wil­liams Way, was ar­rested at 6:35 p.m. Sept. 20 out­side his home and charged with theft by un­law­ful tak­ing af­ter an of­fi­cer ob­served him be­hind the wheel of a blue Ford F-150 that had been re­ported stolen, po­lice said.

Van­dal­ism … A res­i­dent of the 7600 block of Moun­tain Av­enue re­ported that an un­known per­son broke a por­tion of a stained glass win­dow on the front door to the home around 9 p.m. Sept. 20, po­lice said.

Rob­bery … A res­tau­rant em­ployee stand­ing out­side Michael’s res­tau­rant dur­ing a break around 2:45 a.m. Sept. 21 was robbed of his wal­let and iPod by a man who stuck some­thing in his back, po­lice said. The rob­ber was de­scribed as a heavy­set black male wear­ing a black hoodie, black pants, black Tim­ber­land boots and a yel­low ski mask, po­lice said.

Fraud … A Chel­tenham res­i­dent re­ported Sept. 21 re­ceiv­ing two bad checks for $3,924 for work found on Ca­reer­Builder. com, po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … B. Julien Wat­son, 31, of the 3200 block of iiv­ingston Street, Philadel­phia, was charged with re­tail theft at 4:17 p.m. Sept. 21 at the Home De­pot, 23U5 W. Chel­tenham Ave., af­ter tak­ing $232.9U worth of goods, po­lice said.

Fraud … A res­i­dent re­ported Sept. 22 be­ing swin­dled out of $1,200 af­ter send­ing money for a “sweep­stakes” win, po­lice said.

Bur­glary … A home in the 400 block of Old Farm Road was found bur­glar­ized at 10:09 a.m. Sept. 22, po­lice said. The rear door was forced to gain en­try, but it was un­known what was taken, po­lice said.

Theft … A res­i­dent re­ported Sept. 22 pay­ing some­one $500 for a TV that was never re­ceived, po­lice said.

Re­tail theft … Two Ken­wood car ra­dios with speak­ers, val­ued at $2U0, were stolen around 7:30 p.m. Sept. 22 at Ra­dio Shack, 23U5 W. Chel­tenhamAve., po­lice said. Three men en­tered the store and while two dis­tracted the em­ploy­ees, the third walked out with the items, po­lice said.

Theft … A woman re­ported Sept. 23 that her wal­let, con­tain­ing $200, was taken from her purse while she was in Shop Rite, 23U5 W. Chel­tenham Ave., be­tween 6:15 and 6:40 p.m. Sept. 23, po­lice said. church the bike was in the drive­way and when she re­turned the bike was gone, po­lice said. The bike was val­ued at $150, po­lice said.
