Days of Our Lives has
been rocked by a real-life
plot twist as show bigwigs
struggle with how to safely
shoot steamy bedroom
scenes during the pandemic,
sources tell GLOBE.
“People are always locked
in an embrace or jumping in
and out of bed on soaps,”
says an entertainment
insider. “So they really have
to take a look at how to
manage social distancing.”
As the NBC series preps
to return to production, the
insider says, “Days plans to
reach out to star’s spouses
to see if they will act as
stand-ins to keep the germs
down. They can shoot them
from the back and put wigs
on them to match the characters.
“And they are also mulling
over the crazy idea of using
blow-up dolls as stand-ins
during bedroom scenes!
They’d throw a wig on them
and pull up the covers, then
shoot from behind.”
