A mo­torist pulled over for al­legedly driv­ing with a de­fec­tive brake light Thurs­day evening on West Put­nam Av­enue in Green­wich is fac­ing a more se­ri­ous charge, po­lice said.

The mo­torist, Jef­frey McCar­roll, 48, of Broad Brook, Conn., was sub­se­quently charged with driv­ing while in­tox­i­cated, po­lice said. He was given a ticket for driv­ing with an in­op­er­a­ble brake light. Bail was set at $250.

Of­fi­cers re­sponded to the Mil­bank Av­enue ro­tary at about 1 a.m. Wed­nes­day and ar­rested a mo­torist on charges of driv­ing while in­tox­i­cated, po­lice said.

Ac­cord­ing to the ar­rest re­port, Michael Finkel­stein, 51, of Rock­wood Lane, struck a tele­phone pole and was sub­se­quently charged. He was given a ticket for fail­ing to drive in lane. Bail was set at $250 and posted.

The strong aroma of “raw mar­i­juana” was found in a car stopped af­ter run­ning a stop sign in Cos Cob on Wed­nes­day af­ter­noon, ac­cord­ing to the ar­rest re­port.

A quan­tity of cannabis weigh­ing more than a hal­founce was found in the car, po­lice said.

Luis Davis Cis­nerosMo­rales, 18, of Sycamore Street, Nor­walk, was charged with il­le­gal pos­ses­sion of mar­i­juana, as well as pos­ses­sion of drug para­pher­na­lia.

Bail was set at $100.
