A motorist pulled over for allegedly driving with a defective brake light Thursday evening on West Putnam Avenue in Greenwich is facing a more serious charge, police said.
The motorist, Jeffrey McCarroll, 48, of Broad Brook, Conn., was subsequently charged with driving while intoxicated, police said. He was given a ticket for driving with an inoperable brake light. Bail was set at $250.
Officers responded to the Milbank Avenue rotary at about 1 a.m. Wednesday and arrested a motorist on charges of driving while intoxicated, police said.
According to the arrest report, Michael Finkelstein, 51, of Rockwood Lane, struck a telephone pole and was subsequently charged. He was given a ticket for failing to drive in lane. Bail was set at $250 and posted.
The strong aroma of “raw marijuana” was found in a car stopped after running a stop sign in Cos Cob on Wednesday afternoon, according to the arrest report.
A quantity of cannabis weighing more than a halfounce was found in the car, police said.
Luis Davis CisnerosMorales, 18, of Sycamore Street, Norwalk, was charged with illegal possession of marijuana, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bail was set at $100.
