Joe Nu­gent is one to watch here in South­west Florida. In 2011, Nu­gent re­lo­cated rom Cincin­nati and joined the award-win­ning Hol­i­day Inn Fort My­ers Air­port @ Town Cen­ter as its direc­tor of sales and mar­ket­ing, over­see­ing the sales and cater­ing team. This suc­cess­ful ho­tel sales direc­tor also ap­plied en­trepreneur­ship drive to launch a lo­cal small busi­ness in SWFL.

The de­sire to help others and a pas­sion for homes led to Nu­gent's start­ing his en­tre­pre­neur­ial jour­ney with the launch of In­spec­tor Gad­get Homes, a home in­spec­tion and home watch com­pany. “Hav­ing a strong fo­cus on cus­tomer ser­vice is top pri­or­ity,” some­thing Nu­gent says he learned from his 17 years in the hos­pi­tal­ity in­dus­try.

In ad­di­tion to his two jobs, Nu­gent is very in­volved in the com­mu­nity. For the past two years he served as chair for the Bonita Springs Area Cham­ber of Com­merce Young Pro­fes­sion­als. He also sat on the Cham­ber’s Board of Di­rec­tors in 2015-2016. Nu­gent is a men­tor to mul­ti­ple col­lege stu­dents and Young Pro­fes­sion­als, is in­volved with the Make-a-Wish Foun­da­tion and also as­sisted with the In­au­gu­ral St. Jude Hol­i­day Soiree.
