MENTAL HEALTH CHECKLIST

Six essentials to achieve balance for optimal mental health:

1 NUTRITION Eat smart and consume healthy meals—healthy fats, fiber, protein and vegetables.

2 EXERCISE Incorporat­e physical activity into your life at least three to four times a week.

3 SLEEP Make sure to get seven to eight hours of sleep every night.

4 MEDITATION Practice every day, even if only for 10 minutes. Try guided meditation­s on YouTube or download the Calm or Headspace apps to get started.

5 PLAY AND ROMANCE Take time to have fun and nourish your relationsh­ips.

6 WORK There’s a time and place to work but don’t let it consume your whole life. You deserve to work on yourself, too.
