When it comes to multipurpose pocket knives, there are a lot of great choices on the market; the most famous is the one used by the army from the land of hot chocolate and holey cheese. Often overlooked is the Böker Tech Tool line, which is a direct descendent of the legendary Böker Camp Knife introduced in 1869 (pre-dating the Swiss version). The 2.8-inch blade is made of Swedish Sanvik 12C27 steel with a Rockwell hardness of 58-60 HRC.
It is extremely well crafted, with the tight tolerances you’d expect from a premium German product. The G10-and-carbon-fiber handle has a classy look and feel. Aside from the main knife, the Carbon 5 includes pliers, scissors, large and small screwdrivers, Phillips head screwdriver, reversible pocket clip and more. There are 14 models to choose from.
