STEPHANIE MURG

Hamptons Magazine - - Without Whom -

Art, design, and books are Murg’s subjects of choice. Her writing has appeared in Wallpaper, Art+auction, Artnews, Flash Art, and Smithsonian, among other publications, and she co-authored the 2015 book Pradasphere (Abrams). A Harvard graduate, Murg has lectured on design history and visual culture at New York’s School of Visual Arts and the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, and has worked as a research associate at J.P. Morgan and Harvard Business School. In this issue, she previews the Mary Heilman show at the Flavin Institute (page 108) and the Market Art + Design fair (page 126), and reviews the harrowing tale A Speck in the Sea (page 152). Favorite Hamptons restaurant, bar, or café: Pierre’s, bien sûr. How do you stay in shape? Indoor rowing classes. I’m thrilled that East End Row has just opened a new studio in East Hampton.
