Cartoberfest Rides Into New Hartford

Cartoberfest, the largest fundraiser for New Hartford Volunteer Fire & Rescue, will take place on Oct. 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hurley Park along the Farmington River at 37 Greenwoods Road (off Route 44).

The non-judging event has become a relaxed showcase and social event for participants and the spectators, and will feature hjot rods, custom cars, classic cars, antique cars, motorcycles, and trucks.

There will be food, live entertainment, and door prizes that include NASCAR tickets to Dover, Charlotte and New Hampshire races, as well as theater tickets for the Bridge Street Theater in Catskill, N.Y., the Warner Theater in Torrington and Infinity Hall in Norfolk, and gift certificates from local businesses.
