DMV Is Still A Problem

-

I’ve heard neither candidate say the DMV is the most important and pressing problem the state of Connecticut faces. The DMV isn’t THE problem but it is A problem. Connecticut residents don’t need to pay attention to how messed up the DMV is. They know (I was there last week) how messed up it is and for how long it’s been messed up.

As a voter who knows there are more pressing problems and larger issues, I’m glad to see some time spent articulating a solution on a smaller problem so voters can qualify differences between candidates in order to help in the selection process. If anything, during the primary process, these candidates have spoken out on the more important issues. I’m sure they will continue to do so. If not, this will also help in the selection process.

I think one can make a good argument the problems at the DMV are symptomatic of the larger problems and issues the state faces. Perhaps learning how to fix a small issue will be helpful in learning how to fix a larger issue. It’s about execution — large and small.

With so many things going on, this is what The Courant chose to write about?
