A group of fit, good-looking teenagers are playing volleyball on the beach. The guys are buff, with sun-kissed skin, and if they have any body hair, it’s been plucked, bleached, or shaven. The girls are idyllic, ambrosial, wearing high-waisted bikinis. Their apathetic beauty radiates from their eyes, mouths, hair. The lifeguard, impossibly handsome although comically tan, is dancing in his lifeguard chair. Underneath him is a sign that says “Tan City.” A trio of young men dressed in varying motifs of white are dancing, synchronized, and singing in harmony.
