Opened earlier this year, The Royal Hawaiian Bakery captivates all who seek a sweet treat. Nationally celebrated Executive Pastry Chef Carolyn Portuondo presents a range of confectionaries from the hotel’s famed banana bread to freshly made desserts including Koloa pineapple-roasted coffee cake and Hawaiian vanilla custard brioche.
Culinary connoisseurs searching for an immersive experience are invited to join in a two-day Epicurean Journey crafted by Executive Chef Colin Hazama and the Royal chefs. Showcasing the combined talent and multi-cultural traditions of the culinary team along with the local, indigenous ingredients of Hawaii, guests will delight in extraordinary cuisine and breathtaking oceanfront views.
Offered quarterly, each Epicurean Journey starts on a Friday with sunset cocktails and amuse bouche, followed by a mouth-watering multi-course dinner paired with new world wines and spirits to complement. The following morning, guests will enjoy an engaging hands-on cooking lesson led by the Royal Hawaiian chefs and a special guest from the agriculture community. Later a hukilau-style lunch will be served to complete the exceptional two-day adventure. Upcoming Epicurean Journeys are September 29 and 30; and December 15 and 16.
For distinctive dining throughout the year, Azure Restaurant offers the tastiest seafood on the island with handpicked $ $ $ ! %&$ earned a strong following due to its intriguing dinner menu, artfully prepared by Chef Shaymus Alwin, which features delicacies such as Kona lobster, Kauai shrimp, Hokkaido scallops, and for beef-lovers, Hawaii Rancher’s ribeye.
Before or after dinner, patrons visit the Mai Tai Bar, home of the original Mai Tai. With nightly entertainment complementing the sound of the surf, it is the ideal place to begin or end an evening.
Those looking for a true pa‘ina (party) will feast on an elaborate buffet and experience the excitement of Waikiki’s only beachfront luau during ‘Aha Aina, a Royal Hawaiian Luau, held Mondays on the Ocean Lawn.
