Lifeguards unable to revive rescued person
A 67-year-old woman died Friday after she was pulled from the water off a Hawaii Kai beach park, despite efforts by lifeguards to revive her.
Police said the woman was found at about 2 p.m. floating facedown and lifeless in the ocean. City lifeguards pulled the woman from the water and performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Emergency Medical Services transported the woman by ambulance to a hospital, where she died.
There were no signs of foul play, police said.
