Honolulu Star-Advertiser - - BUSINESS -

The Hawaii County Workforce Development Board is holding its fourth annual Job Fair and Job Readiness Workshop this month.

The workshop, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Aunty Sally’s Luau Hale, will help participants prepare for the job fair with guidance on resume writing, interviewing skills, properly completing an application and instruction on dressing for success. To retain copies of their new, updated resumes, participants will need to provide their own flash drives. The job fair, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 26, at Edith Kanakaole Tennis Stadium, will host over 80 islandwide businesses looking for employees to fill vacancies. Participants should come prepared with resumes and in professional attire, as interviews may be done on site. Many participating businesses will offer door prizes.

The events are free. Call the Office of Housing and Community Development, 961-8379.
