Eleanor Mahoney Lyden, died Fri­day Oc­to­ber 27, 2017 at her home in Honolulu, Hawaii sur­rounded by her lov­ing fam­ily. Eleanor was born on Fe­bru­ary 8, 1920 in East Orange, New Jersey and lived many years in Salem, Con­necti­cut be­fore mov­ing to Hawaii. She was blessed to have lived 97 years filled with love and achieve­ment, ded­i­cated first and al­ways to her fam­ily. She was ma­tri­arch to a large Ir­ish fam­ily of 10 chil­dren, 19 grand­chil­dren ,15 great grand­chil­dren, and many nieces and neph­ews who loved her deeply. She was also one of the orig­i­nal founders of the Makak­ilo Se­nior Cit­i­zens Club. A Fu­neral Mass will be cel­e­brated at 5:00 p.m. on Mon­day, Novem­ber 20th at St. Jude Catholic Church in Makak­ilo, Hawaii.
