Ditch the Dull
Did you know that you can take grimy or tarnished silver pieces from blah to bling using everyday household items and a little bit of elbow grease? Try one of these quick fixes. Toothpaste. Squeeze a small amount onto a rag, polish, and rinse. Corn starch. Add water to create a paste, apply, let dry, and rub off with a rough cloth. Hand sanitizer. Squirt onto a soft cloth, and rub away tarnish. Foil, salt, baking soda. Line a bowl or your sink with foil; add hot water, a half cup of kosher salt, and half cup of baking soda; stir mixture; add silver piece and let soak; remove after several minutes; rinse; and polish with a clean, soft towel.
