5. MEASURE YOUR CURRENT HOOPS
Using your old wheels gives you a starting point to base your ideal wheel and tire package on, but you need to confirm a few measurements. Modern wheels will often be stamped with their basic diameter and width, so look for dimensions on the backside of the spokes or on the barrel first. Also note: We didn’t have our old tires dismounted (wheel width was known at 8 inches), so we grabbed a Cragar Super Trick front-runner for these demonstration photos of all three measurements.
