That the FAST LSXR in­take only of­fered an ad­di­tional 5 hp over the fac­tory LS3 shows just how lit­tle power the GM en­gi­neers left on the ta­ble. When se­lect­ing an in­take for a cathe­dral-port ap­pli­ca­tion, the FAST is the go-to choice, but the gains are much less preva­lent on the LS3. We did like the ad­justa­bil­ity that al­lowed us to tune the in­take to the rest of the com­bi­na­tion and in­tended en­gine speed. Equipped with the FAST ad­justable LSXR in­take (long run­ners), the 6.2L pro­duced 585 hp and 533 lb-ft of torque.
