ENGINE SPEED (RPM)

Hot Rod - - Pitstop -

Not street-friendly: The 347 only really got rolling over 5,000 rpm. Torque and rpm are still rising after they crossover at 5,252 rpm. Unusually, both torque and power peaks—1,239.3 lb-ft and 2,076.6 hp, respectively—occur at the same 8,800 rpm; traction and driveline issues at the time forced Duttweiler to restrict the engine from reaching its full 38-psi boost below 8,500!
