Twins join John Moore’s executive team
Identical twin sisters and native Houstonians Hannah and Claire Valentine recently joined their father, Don Valentine, at one of the city’s most recognized brands in home services, John Moore.
In September 2015, Hannah on-boarded the family business as chief operations engineer, responsible for continuous improvement of John Moore’s call center, dispatch, inside sales and field activity. Claire followed a year later, in August 2016, as the company’s first chief marketing officer. She will be responsible for fortifying the company’s marketing strategies to include “mixed” media and brand-differentiation initiatives.
“Hannah and Claire have grown up with John Moore since they were 8 years old, so they know our company and our customers,” said Don, patriarch and John Moore CEO. “Also, with Hannah’s operational experience and Claire’s successful marketing background, they bring a synergy that is going to enhance our customer and employee experience.”
Claire recently returned to Houston from San Diego, where she served as account supervisor for Vitro. Claire’s team was responsible for increasing market share and launching a differentiated marketing campaign for Toyo Tires. Her team simultaneously managed all branding, media and creative strategies for John Moore.
“Hannah and I are excited to transition into our family business and work directly with my father and the John Moore team,” said Claire. “It is a fulfilling experience because we get to be hands-on in all aspects of the business. We even want to know what a $29 drain clean looks like so we can serve our customers and the business better.”
While Claire and Don graduated from Texas A&M with a BBA in marketing, Hannah chose a career in petroleum engineering — a choice that is paying off in many ways at John Moore. Hannah worked in the field overseeing well site operations for Devon Energy and participated in a rotational program for operations, drilling and reservoir engineering. That experience has made for an easy transition into the fast-paced, technician-driven environment at John Moore.
“I’m excited to finally be working with Claire. Our roles are different, but we share the same thoughts and the same vision for John Moore. We want to be the household name, the benchmark for plumbing, HVAC, pest control, electrical, lawn care and home services as a whole,” Hannah said.
Hannah has enhanced the culture and workplace environment at John Moore, and has championed the John Moore Tech Internship program that recently graduated 100 HVAC interns in spring 2016.
