Miss Morgan Leigh Relyea Weds Mr. Walker Rowley Colt

Miss Morgan Leigh Relyea and Mr. Walker Rowley Colt were united in marriage on Saturday, the twenty fifth of March, 2017 at seven o’clock in the evening at Chapelwood United Methodist Church in Houston, Texas. The double ring ceremony was officiated by The Reverend Dr. Jim Jackson. Scripture was read by the bride’s two sisters, Doctor Jolie Nicole Relyea and Mrs. Brooke Relyea Wommack. Music for the ceremony was provided by the Divisi Strings and Sarah Fuselier. After the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted dinner and dancing at The Bayou Club with music by Jessie’s Girls of Atlanta, Georgia. On the eve of the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at The Bayou Club.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Dale Relyea of Houston, Texas. She is the granddaugh­ter of Mr. and Mrs. Emilio Rafael Nicolas, Sr. of San Antonio, Texas and Mrs. Margaret Jean Graeber of Phoenix, Arizona, and the late Mr. Russell Dale Relyea of Dallas, Texas.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Sloan Colt II of Houston, Texas. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Colt of Houston, Texas and Mrs. Jean Barnett Rowley of Houston, Texas, and the late Mr. Craig Morrison Rowley of Houston, Texas.

Presented in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a couture gown designed by Ines Di Santo. The strapless gown of ivory silk organza, tulle and lace embroidere­d featured a scallop sweetheart neckline with a fitted bodice. The soft fitted trumpet skirt with an illusion back and fabric buttons fell into a full beautiful circular chapel train. To complement the gown, the bride wore a soft ivory cathedral veil with lace appliqué by Ines Di Santo. The bride carried a classic hand tied floral bouquet composed of fresh ivory blooms wrapped with ivory silk ribbons hand-dyed in France.

Morgan’s sisters, Doctor Jolie Nicole Relyea and Mrs. Brooke Relyea Wommack served as her Maid and Matron of Honors; as flower girls were Nella Rose Altneu and Willoughby Isabel Altneu, nieces of the groom.

Walker’s brothers, Mr. William Sloan Colt and Mr. Jonathan Zachary Altneu served as his Best Men; as ring bearer was Webber Timothy Wommack, nephew of the bride, who held a needlepoin­t pillow of the Bayou Club and the Colt family crest that the bride’s mother handmade.

Morgan is a 2008 graduate of Memorial High School in Houston, Texas and is a 2012 double major graduate of Texas Christian University where she received a Bachelor of Business Administra­tion degree in Marketing and Entreprene­urial Management with an emphasis in Leadership. She is a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. Morgan practices Commercial Real Estate at Cushman & Wakefield in Houston.

Walker is a 2008 graduate of Stratford High School in Houston, Texas and is a 2013 graduate of Texas A&M University where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineerin­g with a minor in Business. He is a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity. Walker is currently working as a Reservoir Engineer at Contango Oil & Gas Company in Houston.

After a honeymoon in Thailand and Cambodia, the couple will reside in Houston.
