16-year-old robbery victim is shot in back

A 16-year-old was shot in the back Friday night after being robbed by three men in north Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

Three men apparently robbed the teen and another juvenile shortly after 11 p.m. near East 35th and Oxford Street, according to Sean Ragsdale with the HPD Homicide Division.

The 16-year-old was taken to Ben Taub hospital. The other juvenile was not injured during the shooting, Ragsdale said.

Police believe the suspects could have fled in an older model black truck. There is no one in custody at this time.
