Man identified in fatal U.S. 90 head-on crash

Authorities have identified a man who died following a head-on crash along U.S. 90 in northeast Harris County.

The two-vehicle wreck happened around 8:20 p.m. Sunday in the 13500 block of Beaumont Highway near Royalwood, according to the Harris County Sheriff ’s Office.

Jesus Bermejo-Alvarado was driving a 2005 Honda Accord east on the roadway when he failed to maintain a single lane of traffic on a slight curve. Bermejo-Alvarado crossed into oncoming traffic and slammed into a Dodge Ram 1500.

He died at the scene.
