Central Florida upsets No. 15 Cincinnati

ORLANDO, Fla. — B.J. Taylor scored 27 points, and 7-6 Tacko Fall had seven points and four blocked shots to help Central Florida pull off the upset of No. 15 Cincinnati on Sunday.

It was the first time in nine meetings that the Knights defeated the Bearcats (25-4, 14-2), who were trying to stay in step with American Athletic Conference-leading SMU.

Central Florida (19-10, 10-7) won its fourth consecutiv­e game.

MICHIGAN ST. 84 WISCONSIN 74

Nick Ward had 22 points as the Spartans knocked off the No. 16 Badgers at East Lansing, Mich.

Michigan State (18-11, 10-6 Big Ten) has won six of its last eight games.

Nigel Hayes scored 22 points for Wisconsin (22-7, 11-5).

LOUISVILLE 88 SYRACUSE 68

Donovan Mitchell made six 3-pointers and scored 25 points, and Ray Spalding had 18 points and 11 rebounds as the No. 7 Cardinals won at home.

Louisville (23-6, 11-5 Atlantic Coast Conference) rebounded from its loss at No. 8 North Carolina.

Tyus Battle had 20 points and Tyler Lydon 17 for the Orange (17-13, 9-8).

NOTRE DAME 64 GEORGIA TECH 60

Bonzie Colson had 20 points and 11 rebounds at South Bend, Ind., to lead the No. 21 Fighting Irish to their fifth win in a row.

Matt Farrell added 17 points for Notre Dame (22-7, 11-5 ACC).

Tadric Jackson led Georgia Tech (16-13, 7-9) with 20 points.

BUTLER 88, XAVIER 79

Kelan Martin scored 25 points as the 22nd-ranked Bulldogs beat the Musketeers at Cincinnati.

Butler (23-6, 12-5 Big East) was coming off a victory at No. 2 Villanova — one of the biggest road wins in school history.

Xavier (18-11, 8-8) has lost five in a row.
