Ex-NFL, UH player arrested in Woodlands

A former NFL and University of Houston football player with a long history of domestic violence charges was arrested this week at his home in The Woodlands. Deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff ’s Office arrested Joffrey Reynolds, 37, for the second time this year on a Class A misdemeano­r charge of interferin­g with an emergency call around 1 a.m. Tuesday, jail records show. He played for the St. Louis Rams in 2003 after playing at UH.

After his 2003 rookie NFL season, Reynolds played for the Calgary Stampeders in the Canadian Football League.

He later was deported to the United States following a domestic violence conviction and 90-day jail sentence in Canada, according to The Calgary Herald.

Tuesday’s arrest is Reynolds’ fourth in Montgomery County since the start of 2016.
