After retired flight attendant Linda Terry was found slain in her Humble home over the weekend, authorities on Thursday asked for the public’s help in identifying possible suspects caught on surveillance video.

“She was loved by all and she didn’t deserve to die like this,” said longtime colleague Linda Lutich.

Precinct 4 deputy constables made the gruesome discovery Saturday evening when they stopped by Terry’s Fox Haven Lane home for a welfare check.

The 69-year-old’s friends and family hadn’t heard from her in several days, and when deputies arrived on the scene, they decided to force their way into the house.

That’s when they discovered the Humble woman’s body, which showed signs of trauma. Authorities also found that her white 2013 Honda Accord with license plate HZS 1825 had vanished.

Five days after the slaying, the Harris County Sheriff’s Office held a Thursday news conference to release footage of four possible suspects seen on camera at two stores. Both locations are on the south side of the city, but authorities decline to say where specifically.

One piece of footage shows the slain woman’s car outside a gas station, and authorities said the suspects might be using her vehicle.

“Ms. Terry was a popular, longtime flight attendant with Continental and United Airlines with 45 years of service,” Sheriff Ed Gonzalez told reporters. “What happened to her inside her own home was a terrible crime.

“She deserves justice and our community is not safe with people who would do such a thing out on the street.”

Citing the ongoing investigation, authorities declined to offer details about the manner of death. A capital murder charge is filed when a murder is committed during the commission of another crime.

It’s unclear what connection might exist between the south-side locations and the crime scene to the north, but investigators pointed out that one of the possible suspects is wearing what appears to be an Aldine athletic shirt.

Now, Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
