Ann El­iz­a­beth King Spilger, age 81, of Ful­s­hear, Texas died at her home af­ter a short ill­ness on Novem­ber 6, 2018. She was born, July 22, 1937 in Cisco, Texas.

She was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents, El­iz­a­beth (Beth) and Leonard Bar­ton King and by her brother James (Jim) King. Sur­vivors in­clude her hus­band of 57 years, Don­ald Jon Spilger, her chil­dren, Meri­beth and son-in-law Bary Carter of Hous­ton, Texas, Jon Bar­ton and daugh­ter–in-law Michelle Spilger of Katy, Texas, and Peter Colin Spilger of Phoenix Ari­zona; four grand­chil­dren, Kayleigh El­iz­a­beth Spilger, Jon Pa­trick “Jack” Spilger, Colin Christo­pher Spilger, and Max­i­m­il­ian James Spilger. Ann will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

A me­mo­rial ser­vice cel­e­brat­ing Ann’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Mon­day, Novem­ber 12, 2018 at Sch­midt fu­neral home, 1344 West Grand Park­way South, Katy, TX 77484. In­ter­ment will be in San An­gelo, Texas at a later date. Memo­ri­als may be made in mem­ory of Ann to the SPCA or Alzheimer’s As­so­ci­a­tion.
