Class act

Houston Chronicle - - FROM THE COVER -

Regarding “GOP judges felt voter wrath” (City/ State pages, Friday): Judge Michael McSpadden’s comments about losing the election after 36 years on the bench show what a class act he has always been. What a contrast to the actions and statements from Harris County Juvenile Judge Glenn Devlin, who acted like a spoiled child in defeat. There’s one big difference: McSpadden knows the court belongs not to him but to the voters. His rulings have always been fair and impartial, based on the facts and the law in front of him, and not on bias or preconception.

I am a Democrat, but I voted a split ticket when it came to the judicial races. To McSpadden, I say thank you for your many years of dedicated service to Harris County. Your work is greatly appreciated. You have set a high bar. Robert Rodriguez, Houston
