Disney halts cruises until February

-

Disney Cruise Line has canceled sailings through early 2021.

The company said in a website post Monday that sailings are canceled on the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder and Disney Dream through Feb. 1 and the Disney Fantasy through Feb. 6.

When cruising actually resumes in the U.S., however, depends on when the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention gives the official approval that cruise lines have met its conditional framework.

With Disney Cruise Line, guests who paid in full are offered a full refund or a cruise credit for a future sailing. Guests who have not paid in full will automatically receive a refund.

• Princess Cruise Lines Ltd. failed to persuade a judge to dismiss negligence claims by 17 passengers who allege they developed COVID-19 symptoms after being exposed to the coronavirus on a February cruise.

The company won dismissal of one passenger’s claims in a ruling issued Monday, but U.S. District Judge Gary Klausner in Los Angeles concluded that the other plaintiffs made legally sufficient allegations to proceed.
