Emma “Sanga” Asun­cion 66, of El Centro passed away peace­fully on Tues­day, Au­gust 29, 2017.

A lov­ing wife, daugh­ter, sis­ter, aunt and sis­ter-in-law, Emma was born Fe­bru­ary 13, 1951 in Braw­ley, CA. Emma is sur­vived by her hus­band, Ed­uardo Asun­cion of El Centro; mother Natalia Sanga; sis­ters Shirley, Carol (Allen), An­gela (Ken), Natalie (Mike) and Jackie; broth­ers John (Gina) and Ge­orge; and many neph­ews and nieces who loved her dearly.

Emma was pre­ceded in death by her fa­ther Fer­nando Singh Sanga and brother-in-law Den­nis Chro­nis­ter.

Born and raised in Braw­ley, Emma moved to El Centro where she later met and mar­ried her hus­band Ed­uardo Asun­cion in 2003. Emma worked at the Im­pe­rial County Elec­tions De­part­ment for many years as an Of­fice As­sis­tant III.

A mass will be held on Fri­day, September 22 at 10 a.m. at Sa­cred Heart Church in Braw­ley, CA. There will be a rosary at 9:30 a.m. Burial fol­low­ing mass at Riverview Cemetary.
