 Holtville woman, three oth­ers in­jured in fiery tra c col­li­sion.

A 69-year-old Holtville woman and three oth­ers were trans­ported for med­i­cal care af­ter be­ing in­volved in a two-ve­hi­cle traf­fic col­li­sion Satur­day morn­ing on In­ter­state 9, stated a Cal­i­for­nia High­way Pa­trol news re­lease.

Bette Van Der Lin­den, the sole oc­cu­pant and driver of one ve­hi­cle, sus­tained ma­jor in­juries to her body.

The driver of the other ve­hi­cle, 23-year-old Tempe, Ariz. res­i­dent Ci­jia Ding, sus­tained mi­nor in­juries.

Ding had two pas­sen­gers in her ve­hi­cle, Malaysia res­i­dents Yaqing Ye, 46, and Bai­jian Ding, 49.

Ye sus­tained ma­jor in­juries to her body while Ding sus­tained mi­nor in­juries.

All par­ties in­volved were trans­ported by ground am­bu­lance to El Cen­tro Med­i­cal Cen­ter for care of their in­juries, stated the news re­lease.

The in­ci­dent hap­pened just be­fore noon Satur­day. A REACH he­li­copter landed on the free­way west of this scene, how­ever, no par­ties were life flown from the scene.

All par­ties were wear­ing seat­belts at the time of the col­li­sion and driv­ing un­til the in­flu­ence was de­ter­mined to not be a fac­tor, stated the news re­lease.
