ANTONIO VERDUGO DURAN

Antonio “Muneco” Verdugo Duran, 88, of Brawley passed away peacefully on June 5, 2018.
He was born on December 18, 1929 in unincorporated Westmorland and he lived in Brawley all of his life. He attended Miguel Hidalgo School, and graduated from 8th grade. He worked as an agriculture harvester for the United States Department of Agriculture for 35 years before retiring. He was married to Amparo Giron in Mexicali, B.C. Antonio had a wonderful life, full and complete with the great loves and great endeavors that make life worth living. He was a great caretaker and was dedicated to the well-being of his family. He was beloved by his children, his grandchildren, his parents (now deceased), his sisters and brothers as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Antonio “Muneco” was a great friend to all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Amparo; his children Carlos Magos, Patricia Robles, Beatriz Duran, and Cecilia Duran; 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, and numerous sisters.
Services will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Frye Chapel in Brawley. Viewing will start at 8 a.m. with services at 9 a.m. and burial to immediately follow at Riverview Cemetery in Brawley.
